The Superintendency of Banks of Panama (SBP) joined the David International Fair in the province of Chiriquí, held from March 12 to 22, 2016, as part of the National Financial Education Strategy (ENEF).
Under the slogan “The Savings Team Arrived at the David International Fair,” the financial education platform Tu Balboa con Sentido (Your Balboa with Purpose) had a booth located in the Don Ramón building, units 20 and 21, where free workshops and various activities were offered to promote informed financial decision-making. The booth was inaugurated by the Superintendent of Banks, Milton Ayón Wong.
During this period, the SBP team also visited various local schools to bring financial education to younger generations. These actions reaffirmed the institution's commitment to strengthening the personal finances of the Panamanian population. “We invite all residents of Chiriquí and visitors to the fair to visit our booth, Tu Balboa con Sentido (Your Balboa with Purpose), our website, and follow our educational content on social media. When we make informed financial decisions, we build a better future for our families and for Panama,” said Milton Ayón Wong, Superintendent of Banks of Panama.
The website www.tubalboaconsentido.gob.pa offered free tools to help people manage their money responsibly, as well as useful information about the rights and responsibilities of financial consumers.
