SBP and the Judicial Branch Strengthen Academic Exchange

Tuesday, 18 August 2026

The Superintendency of Banks of Panama (SBP), in collaboration with the Judicial Branch, held an academic session aimed at promoting knowledge sharing and strengthening institutional cooperation. The event was attended by the highest-ranking judicial authorities.

The session was held under the Interinstitutional Cooperation Agreement signed by both entities, which seeks to promote training programs, professional development activities, projects, and other initiatives to facilitate the exchange of experiences and best practices between the two institutions.

During the event, Superintendent of Banks Milton Ayón Wong noted that this was the third event organized under the agreement.

The Superintendent emphasized that, for the SBP, promoting educational and professional development opportunities is an important means of strengthening the legal and regulatory framework and building the capacity of legal professionals serving in state institutions.

“The purpose of this joint collaboration is to ensure that supervisory activities and the administration of justice go hand in hand, supporting informed decision-making,” said the head of the SBP.

The SBP reaffirmed its commitment to continuing to coordinate professional development activities for Judicial Branch officials, taking into account the topics most relevant to their professional responsibilities.
