ANTAI recognizes SBP’s Transparency

Friday, 03 December 2021

The National Authority for Transparency and Access to Information (ANTAI, for its acronym in Spanish) qualified and certified the Superintendency of Banks of Panama (SBP) with a score of 100 for reaching the maximum level in the annual assessment that measures compliance with Law 6 on Transparency in Public Management.

The certification corresponds to the results of the periodic monitoring carried out by ANTAI to the transparency sections on the websites of public institutions, which must comply with the standards established in Panamanian legislation regarding access to public information.

Amauri A. Castillo, Superintendent of Banks, received this award and affirms the regulatory body’s commitment to keep institutional information up-to-date and available on its website, in accordance with the Transparency Law.

In this regard, the SBP maintains its online information up-to-date where the Internal Regulations, Strategic Plan, institutional policies, organization chart, procedures manuals, document tracking, budgetary execution, public bids, as well as personnel recruitment and senior officers appointment, payroll and Code of Ethics, among others, stand out.

The SBP acknowledges the work performed by the personnel responsible for sending the updated information each month and for complying with Institutional Policy 60 on Transparency.
