Term of Cross-Board Director of the SBP Board of Directors Extended

The Board of Directors of the Superintendency of Insurance and Reinsurance of Panama (SSRP) has extended the appointment of Fernando Sucre Míguez as cross-board director on the Board of Directors of the Superintendency of Banks of Panama (SBP).

Mr. Sucre’s appointment was approved through Resolution No. JD-022, dated March 26, 2026, for a term of two (2) years, effective as of March 27, 2026.

This appointment is based on the provisions of Article 8 of the Consolidated Text of Decree Law No. 9 of February 26, 1998, and reinforces coordination and the exchange of best practices among supervisory authorities within Panama’s financial system.
